Introducing the College of Patent Agents and Trademark Agents

On June 28, 2021, the College of Patent Agents and Trademark Agents (CPATA) was established as the professional regulator of patent and trademark agents in Canada. Overall, the new requirements are expected to lead to the consolidation of IP services in law firms that specialize in such services.
