LUKE Mc IVOR

Student-at-Law

Luke is a lawyer licensing candidate with the Law Society of Ontario and Toronto Metropolitan’s Law Practice Program.

While attending law school at the University of Leicester, Luke’s passion for intellectual property law was sparked by a presentation on Video Game Law given by Jon Festinger, a professor at the Peter A. Allard School of Law. Luke's interest in IP law was sparked by this presentation because it offered the opportunity to merge his passion for entertainment with his future legal career. As a result, he is enthusiastic about pursuing this interest further in his role at Blaze IP and is looking forward to the learning opportunities it will provide.

Outside of law, he is passionate about all thing’s technology, watching Leicester City and the Toronto Maple Leafs, traveling and reading. In the summer of 2021 after law school, he celebrated by driving across Canada from Oakville, Ontario, all the way to taking the ferry over to Victoria, British Columbia.
