LUKE Mc IVOR

Associate & Trademark Agent Trainee

Luke completed his articles with Blaze IP and is now an associate at Blaze IP. He was called to the bar in 2023.

While attending law school at the University of Leicester, Luke’s passion for intellectual property law was sparked by a presentation on Video Game Law given by Jon Festinger, a professor at the Peter A. Allard School of Law. Luke's interest in IP law grew because it offered the opportunity to merge his passion for entertainment and technology with his future legal career. While completing his law degree, he volunteered to help self-represented litigants. In the summer of 2021 after graduating law school, he celebrated by driving across Canada from Oakville, Ontario, all the way to taking the ferry over to Victoria, British Columbia.

Outside of law, he is passionate about all thing’s technology, watching his two favourite teams, Leicester City and the Toronto Maple Leafs, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
